Most watches are pre-owned and may show signs of wear. Some may require servicing to run properly. Functionality is noted based on basic checks.

Watch Condition Terminology
Function Descriptions:
Ticking – Watch was monitored and confirmed to change time.
Non-ticking – The seconds hand does not move, or the watch is currently not running. This doesn’t always mean the watch is broken — some just need a little expert attention.
Untested – Watch has not been tested for function or timekeeping.
Note on Value & Service:
Some vintage watches might not be running today — but they can be brought back to life. While I handle light cleaning, detailing, and battery checks, I don’t perform full restorations. Many pieces here have real aesthetic and collectible value, and could be great candidates for a watchmaker or expert to revive. Don’t overlook a non-ticking gem.
Condition Ratings:
Excellent – Nearly perfect. No obvious signs of wear.
Great – Light, minimal wear. Aged gracefully.
Fine – Patina, scratches, and wear are clearly visible — full character on display.
The Restoration Process
Each watch is cleaned with alcohol, grime is scrubbed away, and surfaces are polished using a soft cotton cloth. The case back is opened to clean the interior and check the battery when applicable. While major restorations aren’t performed, every piece is sanitized, detailed, and prepared for listing with care.
